The Living Well Center for Social and Economic Vibrancy celebrates 15 years of empowering the Baltimore community through thought leadership, cultural sustainability, and healing. Over the years, The Living Well (TLW) has become a hub for activists, artists, healers, and change-makers, providing invaluable support for personal growth and business development. This journey of personal growth is a testament to the resilience and determination of our community members.

Here's what members of the community had to say about TLW's impact:

  • Business Development: TLW has played a pivotal role in securing business opportunities, from food services to event sponsorships and providing equity-building platforms. It helped members understand the value of social capital and build sustained community connections.

  • Cultural Exposure: TLW has offered the Baltimore community exposure to dance and music of the African Diaspora and other diverse cultural expressions, fostering inclusivity for Black and Brown people.

  • Healing and Well-Being: For many, TLW has been a space for personal healing, offering services like Reiki sessions, holistic well-being practices, and collaborative healing events supporting mental and physical health. One community member recalls their healing journey beginning through a co-curated event at TLW.

  • Social Capital: TLW has introduced individuals to high-functioning change agents and supported them in building meaningful relationships beyond Baltimore. Through entrepreneurship mentorship, TLW has strengthened networks of Black liberators, artists, and creators, empowering people to realize their full potential.

  • Community and Networking: TLW has been described as a space for collective healing and connection, fostering a sense of family, community, and togetherness. From networking events to social innovation challenges, TLW has consistently catalyzed holistic well-being for Baltimore’s Black community.
